The Wisconsin high school students who appeared to perform a Nazi salute in a prom photo will not be disciplined by the school. Baraboo School District Administrator Lori Mueller said the students in the picture will not face any punishment because their actions are protected by the First Amendment.

The Department of Justice submitted a statement of interest in the case, Redeemer Fellowship of Edisto Island v. Town of Edisto Beach. The case involves an allegation that the town of Edisto Beach, South Carolina. violated the church’s constitutional rights by barring its members from renting space in the town civic center.

Freedom Foundation Lawyers have filed another lawsuit that seeks dues for defecting Oregon union members. This is the second federal lawsuit in Oregon following the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Janus that says union dues must be voluntary.

An Ohio college professor is fighting back against the university after being reprimanded for refusing to refer to a student with a pronoun that differs from his gender at birth.  The Alliance Defending Freedom has filed suit in U.S. District Court in Ohio on behalf of the professor.

On November 19^th the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals held that cable operators do not have a First Amendment right to engage in discriminatory business practices.
