Submissions Guidelines
The North Carolina Civil Rights Law Review is currently accepting articles, essays, or other submissions for publication. We will review submission received through Scholastica and via email. If you have not heard back from us in a timely manner, please follow up with SJ Smith, Volume 4, Executive Articles Editor, at sjbsmith@email.unc.edu.
Publication and Selection Guidelines
We welcome submissions by judges, professionals, practitioners, recent law school graduates, and current law students. All submissions should conform to the 21st edition of the Bluebook. Emailed submissions should include the author’s CV or resume.
Expedited Review
In the event you receive an offer from another journal, we will consider expediting review of your article. Please make any expedite requests through the same medium as your initial submission (Scholastica or email). Your request should include your name, phone number, the names of other publications from which you received offers, the relevant deadline, and a statement affirming your preference for the North Carolina Civil Rights Law Review over other journals from which you have already heard. We will make every attempt to meet your deadline, but make no guarantees. We are generally unable to perform expedited reviews during examination periods.
