The symposium focused primarily on examining how the First Amendment relates to national security, government leaks and publication of and access to government information. Discussion explored the legal framework surrounding the dissemination of government information like the Freedom of Information Act and criminal prosecution of whistleblowers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&#8217;s symposium began with opening remarks at 10:00 A.M. and featured a keynote address by Dean Mary-Rose Papandrea and two panel discussions. Closing remarks were held at 2:45 P.M.
